Flash Professional 2014 First Use

For are second session in Complementary Studies we focused on the 'Straight Ahead & Pose to Pose' Rule from the '12 Rules of Animation', we started with learning how to use 'Flash Professional 2014' at a basic level along with how to use a Digital Drawing Tablet.

'Insert Image of Tablet'

To start of you select 'Action Script 3.0' to start a new project.

You'll then be left with a blank page and be able to start your Animation.

If you look to the left bottom corner you'll notice the 'Layers' section that shows you your frames and layers to the Image much like Photoshop, If you select the padlock you can lock onto the layer to stop yourself from accidental drawing on a different layer and ruining your animation. You can also select the eye on the layer to make the marks on that layer disappear, if you press F5 you can stretch a frame and F7 to make a new frame. Finally you can select the Spiral Arrow to loop the animation and the Square with the Chequered Square behind it to see a Transparent Marks made on the last few frames.

Finally is the Brush Tool that allows you to change the size of your marks and there Colour, there is obviously the Rubber tool as well to erase your marks.

To finish off your animation you can export as a Video, by selecting File > Export > Export as Video, and then either save it as a QuickTime video or GIF to see your Animation.
