The first thing that was taught to us on this Animation Complementary Course is the 12 basic principals of Animation, created by Walt Disney's group Frank Thomas and Ollie Johnston in the 1930's.
1- Squash & Stretch
2- Anticipation
3- Staging
4- Straight Ahead & Pose to Pose
5- Follow Through and Overlapping
6- Slow in and out
7- Arcs
8- Secondary Actions
9- Timing
10- Exaggeration
11- Solid Drawings
12- Appeal
We then tried creating a simple ball bounce animation using drawn images which then are scanned into the computer an turned into an animation like a flip book, here's what I was left with.
'IMAGES TO BE INSERTED'
All though the process is long and frigidity it still fells good to be in my comfort zone drawing on paper rather than on a tablet but I'm keen on learning how to use one probably to expand my medium of use in fine art.
